Atalanta is a fitness app that lets users compete against each other to be the most fit. Only the fittest survive!
PRODUCT
Staying healthy and fit is tough. Atalanta is here to motivate and make fitness fun with social fitness challenges that anyone can join! Atalanta users can compete against each other individually or in teams to get in the most steps or active minutes. Users are rewarded for participating with special discounts to health and athletic gear and social badges to encourage continuous healthy habits.
As the UX/UI designer, you will design a fun experience that motivates users through data and competitions to get fit. You'll explore how to reward users for their hard work and help them keep up healthy habits.
STAYING MOTIVATED
Atalanta makes it easy for anyone with a smartphone to join a competition and get started on their fitness - but the real challenge is keeping people motivated. The product design will need to incorporate the right mix of fun, challenge, rewards, and social behavior to help users keep up their fitness goals.
You'll be given a requirements packet and an example of successful design just like if you were working as a designer in a top tech company. From there, you'll hone your design skills by solving the product and user problems. When you have a final design, you can add to it to your portfolio.
You'll be tasked with designing the major flows for Atalanta's core features at medium and high fidelities. You will need to optimize your designs for iOS or Android.
Your designs should convey a brand identity that is friendly and health-oriented, and gets users excited to be active and compete with each other. This is an opportunity to design for information-rich tracker interfaces like FitBit, Apple Watch, and Google Fit.
This project will require advanced UX/UI skills. You should be able to demonstrate a mastery of interaction design and UI design, as well as solid product and design thinking.
